Why we like it? Great for expedition racing. When you need to sleep in the backcountry the 6.5ounce bivy performs better and allows for a more comfortable sleep than a traditional emergency blanket. In addition it is reusable and over time will save you more money than the typical emergency blanket. I have used this bag during many expedition races and had warm comfortable sleep (relatively speaking) in comparison to my teammates using the more traditional space blanket. When you know you are going to need to sleep in the bush be prepared.

Why we like it? This headlamp provides a bright beam when you need it to scan an area for an orienteering bag or while biking, as well as a low beam to conserve battery life (and a strobe for emergency use or paddling). I have used this lamp for racing for years and have not found anything that compares to its performance. Few headlamps provide enough light for mountain biking but this one does. In addition I have taken a second one of these lights strapped it to my bike handlebars and ridden technical single track.
